Holiday Hope Drive
Help a local family in need this year!
Reindeer Express is on it's way again this year! Each year, Postmarks hosts a family with young children in our local community so they may have a memorable holiday season during a difficult time. Our families are chosen in partnership with DJUSD and we are given permission by both the family and the school district to update the community with pictures and some details of the family.
This year, we have chosen a lovely family that have fallen on hard times. I had the pleasure of speaking with the mother, Cassandra, and she had expressed much gratitude toward our community for choosing to host their family this year. The couple has been married for 18 years and moved here from Texas in 2004 to be closer to her grandmother whom had little to no family here in California. They have six children ages ranging from five years old to fourteen years old. They had lived in Sacramento but decided to recently move to temporary housing here in Davis due to concerns in their previous living situation in Sacramento.
We all know we can use some help once in a while and it's especially true when children are along for the ride during these harder times. Our community have always pulled through for these families year after year and I am reaching out for anyone who wants to help this family.
Postmarks and staff will be coordinating with the parents of the family to go into their home and set up a decorated Christmas tree along with all the donated gifts on Christmas Eve while the children are sleeping so when the children wake up the next morning, they will be pleasantly surprised! Postmarks will also be donating gifts to the family. This is the one time of the year Postmarks and staff look forward to and give back to the community that has given us business so that we can keep our lights on and feed our own families. We ourselves are grateful for the community and there is no better place to have a business than in this community. Thanks the this community in advance for your donations and love.
